The first shop was originally known as F.W. Evans Cycles and was located on Kennington Road in south east London. Trading from this site for thirty years F.W Evans Cycles built up a strong reputation as a quality cycle shop and in particular building its own frames and bikes. In 1925 the company was presented with a silver plaque by the Cyclists Touring Club (The CTC) for ‘The greatest improvement in cycle design, construction or equipment during the year 1925’. The award was given for design and low cost production of a rear wheel dropout.

  Got a flat on my fixie, and couldn't get the back wheel off due to one for the nuts being a cone ! I should have spotted it but didn't, obviously didn't look that hard.
  
  Anyway, took it in and the guys couldn't have been more helpful, very friendly, very knowledgeable, absolutely top service.
  
  Repaired the rear wheel, found the front tyre was about to fall apart, so replaced that too (Note to self: check the bike from time to time don't just get on and ride).
  
  It meant I could ride home and just turned a bad day into a great evening

  Excellent service and communication,
  rang me 3 times for progress reports. Will deffinately use again (especially as they have given me £10 off the next service)
