The first shop was originally known as F.W. Evans Cycles and was located on Kennington Road in south east London. Trading from this site for thirty years F.W Evans Cycles built up a strong reputation as a quality cycle shop and in particular building its own frames and bikes. In 1925 the company was presented with a silver plaque by the Cyclists Touring Club (The CTC) for ‘The greatest improvement in cycle design, construction or equipment during the year 1925’. The award was given for design and low cost production of a rear wheel dropout.

  I paid for a Pashley bike and a specific rack to fit the back. The order and cash was taken for the rack but since the actual order couldn't be placed with the company who makes the racks at the time, the staff said they would put it through in the morning. It seemed at the time quite flippant and like they would forget, so I went back the following day to check they had done it. The staff I had dealt with the day before were busy with another customer so I left a message with one of the other staff to pass on the reminder.
  
  Didn't seem to get through as one month later nothing had arrived. So I called the store and reminded them one more time of my order.
  
  That was in August. It's now October and I have not once been contacted about the rack that I bought and paid for at the end of July.
  
  Terrible service. Shoddy and unprofessional.

  Very impressive service at the birmingham branch. Did not have my item in stock so i was directed online as I did not want to collect instore.excellent telephone service,quick answer so helpful. Couldn't be more pleased. Helped me even though store was just about to close did not rush me searched for the item. Very very polite staff. More than impressed. Would definitely recommend as if you cannot get the item instore its all online and they will send to any store for you to collect. Ten out of ten
