The first shop was originally known as F.W. Evans Cycles and was located on Kennington Road in south east London. Trading from this site for thirty years F.W Evans Cycles built up a strong reputation as a quality cycle shop and in particular building its own frames and bikes. In 1925 the company was presented with a silver plaque by the Cyclists Touring Club (The CTC) for ‘The greatest improvement in cycle design, construction or equipment during the year 1925’. The award was given for design and low cost production of a rear wheel dropout.

  After having my front wheel stolen and not being in the best of moods, the staff at Evans Cycles on Mortimer Street were really helpful in getting it replaced in a few minutes. He helped me pick out a new wheel and recommended a tyre that was similar to the ones that came on the bike. Overall: quick, friendly, and no issues. ..

  Husband saw the bike panniers that turn into a rucksack in the magazine, he wanted them for his birthday. I went into the shop at Chill Factore in Manchester but they didnt have them. I searched on the website and found them, free delivery. I was worried they would not arrive in time for his birthday, but they arrived in 24 hours, fantastic! whilst viewing the site I spotted some gloves for him too, he has XXL hands and can't normally get gloves to fit, but these were Fab too and were in the sale.
