The first shop was originally known as F.W. Evans Cycles and was located on Kennington Road in south east London. Trading from this site for thirty years F.W Evans Cycles built up a strong reputation as a quality cycle shop and in particular building its own frames and bikes. In 1925 the company was presented with a silver plaque by the Cyclists Touring Club (The CTC) for ‘The greatest improvement in cycle design, construction or equipment during the year 1925’. The award was given for design and low cost production of a rear wheel dropout.

  Very happy to find a shop which will let you in when just closed and will get things done so you don't have to trudge home empty handed in the rain.
  Staff generally know their bikes which is what you need in a bike shop
  Servicing is very good, in fact its essential, and its not their fault if Pinnacle put some cheap parts on their bikes. Maybe I expect too much from a year's cycling on London roads eg broken chain and buckled wheels.
  Am buying another bike from Evans as price and service is good and the Ride to work scheme is still running

  Very impressive service at the birmingham branch. Did not have my item in stock so i was directed online as I did not want to collect instore.excellent telephone service,quick answer so helpful. Couldn't be more pleased. Helped me even though store was just about to close did not rush me searched for the item. Very very polite staff. More than impressed. Would definitely recommend as if you cannot get the item instore its all online and they will send to any store for you to collect. Ten out of ten
