The first shop was originally known as F.W. Evans Cycles and was located on Kennington Road in south east London. Trading from this site for thirty years F.W Evans Cycles built up a strong reputation as a quality cycle shop and in particular building its own frames and bikes. In 1925 the company was presented with a silver plaque by the Cyclists Touring Club (The CTC) for ‘The greatest improvement in cycle design, construction or equipment during the year 1925’. The award was given for design and low cost production of a rear wheel dropout.

  The bike develped a fault with the gear and Evans would not replace under warrantee. A cheap fix that would have kept my custom - 5 bikes in the last 5 years - No more

  After a bit of a mix up which was really no ones fault I was contacted by Adam Murray who is a contact centre agent and after a few emails back and forth we came to a very favorable solution. The most amazing thing was Evans cycles stood to lose no money or custom from the mix up but still they deemed it nessesary to contact me to make sure that if there was anything that they could do to resolve the mix up then they would try. Bottom line is mistakes do and will happen and its how we cope with them that makes the diference Adam Murray and Evans Cycles are top blokes and I will definitely be using them again
