The first shop was originally known as F.W. Evans Cycles and was located on Kennington Road in south east London. Trading from this site for thirty years F.W Evans Cycles built up a strong reputation as a quality cycle shop and in particular building its own frames and bikes. In 1925 the company was presented with a silver plaque by the Cyclists Touring Club (The CTC) for ‘The greatest improvement in cycle design, construction or equipment during the year 1925’. The award was given for design and low cost production of a rear wheel dropout.

  I received great customer service from Lyle in the Fenchurch Street shop. This was my first purchase of a road bike and Lyle was extremely patient and good at explaining things and helping me choose a bike and all the accessories I required.
  
  As a novice I knew little about rouad bike (only having rode a MTB in the past) but Lyle helped me choose a bike and the accessories that are suitable for me and explained why.
  
  As it is a lot of money to spend you are always a little worried but I came out of the shop feeling much better for my purchase as I knew exactly what I was buying.
  
  He is a credit to your company and I will definately not hesitate to use Evans in the future.

  I've used Evans a few times, buying items ranging from a bike too components and they have always been fantastic, fast and reliable.
