The first shop was originally known as F.W. Evans Cycles and was located on Kennington Road in south east London. Trading from this site for thirty years F.W Evans Cycles built up a strong reputation as a quality cycle shop and in particular building its own frames and bikes. In 1925 the company was presented with a silver plaque by the Cyclists Touring Club (The CTC) for ‘The greatest improvement in cycle design, construction or equipment during the year 1925’. The award was given for design and low cost production of a rear wheel dropout.

  Why shop anywhere else? The prices are a fraction of the price of local bike shops, delivery takes 1/4 of the the time of local bike web sites and the product descriptions/reviews are more valuable than the advice that you'll get from a bricks and mortar style bike shop. Oh yeah, plus I can browse and shop whenever I feel like it - unlike local bike shops that are never accessible to anyone who works normal hours

  i bought a bike a kona lanai from the shop and all seemed okay. i took it home rode it for a couple of days noticed the wheel wobbled. i thought easy job take it back to the shop when it was the first service and it would be easily fixed. i was wrong they did nothing to fix the bike when they did the service despite me telling them about the wheel i had to take it back a second time they took it away for twenty minutes and then brought it back having tightened it up and said that was the best they could do despite the wheel still wobbling. i then contacted customer services who said take it back again so i did this time they refused to fix the wheel this wobble on the wheel which it should not have at all is within British standards of wobbliness is their excuse. shoddy and lack lustre customer service people who don't want to fix bikes just want to sell new bikes. well my next bike sale will not be at evans
