The first shop was originally known as F.W. Evans Cycles and was located on Kennington Road in south east London. Trading from this site for thirty years F.W Evans Cycles built up a strong reputation as a quality cycle shop and in particular building its own frames and bikes. In 1925 the company was presented with a silver plaque by the Cyclists Touring Club (The CTC) for ‘The greatest improvement in cycle design, construction or equipment during the year 1925’. The award was given for design and low cost production of a rear wheel dropout.

  Waiting for my train back down to the south of England, I wandered into the Evans operated 'Cycle Point' just outside Leeds Railway station. Didn't buy anything but the chap in there was extremely helpful and chatty, answering my questions about how the place operates (it is a storage garage for commuters to put their bikes during the day) and how it was set up. There should be one of them in every town and city up and down the country. Brilliant! I was even inspired to write about it on my website, CyclingEurope.org

  Bravo Evans Cycles !!!
  I've places an order on Sunday the 27th November, it was dispatched on Monday at 13:00 hours and arrived to Romania next day at 12:30 in less than 24 hours.
  But the second one was even faster because it was placed on 8th December at 14:00 hours it was dispatched the same day at 18:00 hours and arrived next day in Romania at 15:00 hours within 25 hours after placing the order.
  And the discount was aslo very good: Thank you!
