The first shop was originally known as F.W. Evans Cycles and was located on Kennington Road in south east London. Trading from this site for thirty years F.W Evans Cycles built up a strong reputation as a quality cycle shop and in particular building its own frames and bikes. In 1925 the company was presented with a silver plaque by the Cyclists Touring Club (The CTC) for ‘The greatest improvement in cycle design, construction or equipment during the year 1925’. The award was given for design and low cost production of a rear wheel dropout.

These was some issue contacting UPS to change delivery address and I contacted Evan cycle via their website instead. The address was changed promptly by them. Received the goods in good condition. Their products are cheaper then what was selling at my local bike shop as well.
I bought a Specialized Hardrock Sport over Christmas. The initial service from Evans was really good with a quick dispatch and email following it up. The bike isn't the most expensive in the world but after a few rides; the sun tour forks have worn out and barely move, making riding very uncomfortable when the surface has even any small bumps. I emailed Evans cycles last Monday with my problem seeing the bike is still under warranty and this is quite a common fault with these forks. I received an automated email back saying emails usually receive a response within 24hours. I gave it till last Friday and still NO REPLY, I sent another follow up email and 3 days later I've still not heard anything back. What's the point in having a customer service contact box, if you don't even bother replying to the emails?
I'm investing in a better bike next year (when I improve to warrant a new bike) and I definitely won't be dealing with evans again. Knowing that if anything did go wrong with the bike, I wouldn't have the back up support that I would with a local shop and would just be kept in the lurch like I am now.
