The first shop was originally known as F.W. Evans Cycles and was located on Kennington Road in south east London. Trading from this site for thirty years F.W Evans Cycles built up a strong reputation as a quality cycle shop and in particular building its own frames and bikes. In 1925 the company was presented with a silver plaque by the Cyclists Touring Club (The CTC) for ‘The greatest improvement in cycle design, construction or equipment during the year 1925’. The award was given for design and low cost production of a rear wheel dropout.

  I was sceptical about using evans cycles after reading a lot of the reviews on here but I was really pleased with the whole service. I ordered my bike online from there website and received it within 3 working days. The bike was packed well and put together well. Will use again!..

  im a downhill rider, and very few shops cater for downhill bike repairs and services but evans do it well and very cheaply. i've bought quite a lot from evans like my bike and some forks for my old bike etc and its been delivered everytime, bike has been fixed properly and had extras fixed for no cost within the same day with out booking my bike in, its a real shame they dont have anymore quieter brands bikes to sell cause i would really love them to sell more downhill/freeride bikes, forks, kit..
