The first shop was originally known as F.W. Evans Cycles and was located on Kennington Road in south east London. Trading from this site for thirty years F.W Evans Cycles built up a strong reputation as a quality cycle shop and in particular building its own frames and bikes. In 1925 the company was presented with a silver plaque by the Cyclists Touring Club (The CTC) for ‘The greatest improvement in cycle design, construction or equipment during the year 1925’. The award was given for design and low cost production of a rear wheel dropout.

  Having been extremely satisfied with my 'Specialized' women's road bike, ordered on-line, I have since ordered several accessories which have arrived in impressively quick time. However, for the first service I took the bike to the Lakeside store - easy to access, not in the main melee of the shops - where I was warmly welcomed and dealt with with huge courtesy and attention. I was having cleats to replace my pedals and was a little nervous of falling off, so Matthew put me on a trainer and gave..

  Very impressive service at the birmingham branch. Did not have my item in stock so i was directed online as I did not want to collect instore.excellent telephone service,quick answer so helpful. Couldn't be more pleased. Helped me even though store was just about to close did not rush me searched for the item. Very very polite staff. More than impressed. Would definitely recommend as if you cannot get the item instore its all online and they will send to any store for you to collect. Ten out of ten
